PostSubject: Arm Blades Assistance   Mon Aug 21, 2017 6:22 am

so i have decided to make some changes to my main hero Midas and would like to edit his arm blade holders so that when the blades aren't extended that i doesn't look weird, like the blade was not present instead of being retracted. I'm looking for input right now cause i dont like how it looks. Any input would be seriously helpful, I'm not asking fir others to do the work I'm only asking fir information as i am stumped at the present moment. thank you very much.

Maybe if just enough blade was showing so that everyone knew the blade's there.....

Np Sir Uriel...
still want too call you Brax some times....
I think that's you previous name, or part of it...

=======================================

you could try looking in video games & movies....
but you searches would have too be more
refined/specific too possibly find any, only thing
I can think of possibly is something like Assassins Creed
or some Japanese movies, or anime.

I wanted to suggest something but Jacen already made it ;-)
another question i have is: is the Sword solid or made of several pieces like a fold-out-sword. If it just detracts into the armguard make sure that there is enough space for it to detract into - do you understand what i mean?

Jacen- Brax Hadius was my original name when i first joined up here Smile I've been trying to think of movies/anime or games that have the kind of mechanic that I'm thinking about but so far the only thing that's been coming to mind is Baraka from mortal kombat.

Burningbird- i have tossed around ideas but i never fully came to a conclusion on if the blades were solid or collapsible, i could try both a see what works best, my only problem is the house unit is so small vs the size of the blades that to bake to believable i feel i would have to shrink the blade size.

wait is the blade holder on the side of his hand or is it on the top of the gauntlet?

also just remove some outline so it wont look too big Wink

My suggestion:

its on top of the the gauntlet, the original idea for was a baraka style arm blade but instead of protruding from the skin it is houses in the arm Armour.

Right, I started doing some bipedal creature micros
after being inspired by yours. Wow, totally forgot about
MK & Baraka....

found this on line, not sure where it's from though.

nice! glad to hear it Jacen, yea i seen that as well but it was pretty vague with how it worked and without knowing the anime it was from to find out more info i passed over it and then a thought occurred to me after some serious searching that i could try the look of the blades based on the Celtic predator from the first AVP movie. I've done up a loose outline that doesn't look to bad unfortunately it's to big to use still.

I like your new design. I personaly would combine it with Jacens idea of closing the shaft
